REHAB SERVICES TO BEGIN PROVIDING PHYSICAL THERAPY SERVICES IN WENDOVER

    Rehab Services of Nevada has announced it now offers physical therapy services in Wendover. 
    The Nevada-based provider opened a part-time clinic at 925 N. Wells Avenue, Unit B, January 26; the new practice is located adjacent to the Nevada Rural Health Clinic.
    Currently, the group is the foremost therapy provider in northern Nevada with services in Elko, Battle Mountain, Eureka, Fallon, Las Vegas, Lovelock and Winnemucca; the group also has one clinic in Rexburg, Idaho. 
    "We have been treating patients across Elko County for close to a decade," said Rehab Services of Nevada's Elko Clinical Director Greg Barker, "so we are excited to have an even greater presence in the Wendover community." 
    "Over the course of the past year and a half, we have spoken many times regarding the needs of Wendover's residents," he said, "and we are very confident that we will be able to fill those needs." 
    Rehab Services brings more than 40 years experience to the community in everything from illness to injury to long-term disability. 
    Patient services will include work-related injuries, stroke and lung care, strength and endurance training, range of motion and flexibility training, gait training and balance retraining, prosthetic training, burn and wound care, myofascial and joint mobilization of the spine and extremities, ergonomics and injury prevention and sports-related therapies. 
    "This is going to be a good thing for the Wendover community and its patients, and for us as well," said Barker. "We are very dedicated to helping folks regain the independence they enjoyed before their injury or illness." 
    Rory Bates will be the primary physical therapist at the Wendover clinic. The Elko resident grew up in rural Nevada and Utah and understands how important it is to provide healthcare to rural communities.
